In 1972 Shri. Govindrao Munghate established a multi-purpose foundation named Dandakaranya Educational, Cultural Development and Research Institute.After researching the cultural and educational awareness of tribals, ashram schools were started for tribal boys and girls in tribal villages like Chandala and Murmadi. Colleges were started in remote talukas like Kurkheda. Institutions such as Open Libraries for Women, Secondary Schools, Primary Schools, Bal Bhavans, Agricultural Guidance Centers etc. have set a different ideal of their own.

  • To study the social, educational and cultural life of tribal and rural Bahujan society and carry out various activities for their overall development.
  • To provide facilities from basic education to advanced education to the above mentioned sections who are deprived of education.
  • Establishing agricultural education centers, parks, nurseries, fruit orchards, dairying, fisheries, forestry and other ancillary establishments to increase agricultural productivity.
  • To study the folklore, folk art and cultural traditions of the tribal and rural Bahujan community and to produce dissertations and literature on them.
